Don't rush
don't panic. It's only a profile, not
your life's history. and it is meant to
reflect something about you, people
won't be expecting humorous monologues
try and be truthful about yourself.
Tell people
a bit about yourself. but try to leave
them with things they can explore
further. Write a bit about what you are
looking for from online dating, who you
would like to meet and what sort of a
relationship you are hoping for. Perhaps
say a bit about your family background
and about where you come from.
One or two
paragraphs about yourself and one or two
about who you would like to meet is
enough. the point is, that you are
writing an introduction. People online
tend to browse rather than read. By all
means be witty, but don't over do it.
It's a good idea to get a friend to
check what you have written, or ask the
people on the Lovefoundhere forum
for advise .
Your main
photo should be fairly recent. A good
head and shoulders shot showing you
smiling is probably the best thing to
post. Please don't use your work id
card photo or one taken in a photo
booth. You are trying to create a good
impression - and your photo is the first
visual contact people make with you. We
suggest you use the other shots to show
a bit more about the life you lead.
perhaps a picture of you walking,
sailing or on holiday.
Alternatively find a good local
photographer and get some professional
shots done. |
