Hi, my name is Jon, 8 years ago my wife
got a new job within an Introduction
Agency, her job was as a telephone
consultant, and although I know its all
confidential, over the years she has
shared some of the stories she has heard
from potential clients. It is fair to
say that the majority of people
contacting dating agencies have already
been members of several other agencies,
websites and lonely heart columns
previously. Sometimes spending thousands
of pounds and getting nothing but
frustrated in return. It was not
uncommon for her to spend over an hour
just listening to peoples problems and
discontentment. As time passed she went
on to become a consultant visiting
people in their own homes explaining the
benefits of the agency she worked for
etc. Again she was becoming more and
more concerned about the level of
service people were getting from other
agencies, even the fact that some of the
interviewees were so rude, she could not
believe they were ever members of any
reputable company at all, as they could
pose a potential threat to other
members. Needless to say she would not
let these people join the agency she
worked for, regardless of losing the
sale. One day she turned to me and said,
if only I had my own agency, I could
make a real difference, well she did.
Today Dionne owns Amour Selective
Introductions at amourintros.co.uk , she
works so hard to succeed where others
fail, she works for her customers first
and herself second. Also although she
matches plenty of people on a permanent
basis, she never solicits feedback or
photos for PR perposes, so quite how
they met, there love story and success
remain a secret forever. Her team is now
10 strong, all of her staff have
themselves used agencies, websites and
lonely heart columns. They are one hell
of a team, doing one hell of a job.
