‘G.L.I.’ is a very professional
Introduction Agency that was formed in
1982, and is a UK nationwide lesbian and
gay dating service. They take security
issues very seriously, trade as a
registered company, and registered with
the Data Protection Act. They only use
plain unmarked envelopes when sending
mail to you.
It takes around 15-30 minutes to
complete an application form. This
includes factual details about yourself
and your physical characteristics, and
two free-response sections detailing
your appearance, personality, hobbies
and interests including tastes in
entertainment, music, travel, sports et
cetera, as well as the type of person
you would like to hear from. Your effort
in the free-response boxes determines
the length the application form takes to
fill in. You request how you would like
to be contacted by members. You can
choose one or more of the following –
your own personal box number via their
office, correspondence via e-mail
address, your telephone number (landline
and/or mobile) and/or fax number for
direct contact, your home address for
members to write to you direct.
Once your application form has been
processed by the office, they will send
you a portfolio of a MINIMUM of 50
interesting contacts, each one being an
invitation to forge a genuine
friendship/relationship, and it is your
choice regarding whom you contact. You
decide who interests you, contacting as
few or as many as you wish and at your
own pace. ‘G.L.I.’ quote that even if
only 10-20% of the 50-list appeals to
you, that alone starts you off with 5-10
instant introductions, but their
experience suggests that many more will
probably appeal to you anyway.
Each contact on the portfolio informs
you of the area in which the person
resides, their age, height, build,
occupation, whether they smoke or not,
whether they have their own house and
mode of transport, their personality,
interests, and all the other information
used to create the profile including
their requirements as to the type of
person they are seeking to ensure
compatibility before making contact.
‘G.L.I.’ offer four levels of
membership. Regardless of which
membership you choose, you will receive
an individually prepared portfolio of a
MINIMUM of 50 profiles, and often many
more but this is dependent on your
location. This portfolio is prepared and
dispatched within a few working days of
the initial application form being
received. You can also receive this
portfolio list via e-mail, which are
sent in pdf format.

FULL MEMBERSHIP - £74.50 (£64.50 if

You receive the initial portfolio of a
MINIMUM of 50 contacts, plus ALL THE
SUPPLEMENTS that are produced for the
first 12 months of membership. These
supplements list all new members who
have since joined to keep you up-to-date
of newly joined members.
You can correspond with as few or as
many contacts as you wish.
Your profile details are included in
other suitable member portfolios until
you request a withdrawal, so that
established members and new members can
contact you.

that membership runs indefinitely.
You can suspend membership at any time,
and reinstate it at a later date e.g.
when you’ve met someone special, and
would not prefer to meet any others at
the time, but if things don’t work out
as you had wished, you can re-start your
membership at no extra cost.
You will continue to receive the regular
supplements for 24 months.
Your entry will remain in other’s future
portfolios until you request to withdraw
this facility.
